That broker in Phoenix taught me to check the temps before booking

I was about to ship my truck from Phoenix to Denver in July and a broker told me to ask about open vs enclosed carrier temps because asphalt can hit 180 degrees and melt tire rubber onto the deck. Sure enough, my buddy's car came back with black marks all over the side from a carrier running hot tires. Anyone else factor in heat when picking a transport route?
