Overheard a guy at the depot bragging about ratchet straps being overkill

I was picking up my dad's old F150 from a drop lot in Phoenix last Tuesday and this shipper is telling another driver he never uses more than two straps on a car. Said it's fine because he's been doing it for years. I wanted to grab his clipboard and show him the math on a hard brake at 60 mph. Has anyone else run into drivers who just refuse to secure loads right?

Two straps on a car? Might as well tie it down with dental floss.

elliotw37 is wrong, one good strap can hold just fine if you know where to wrap it.
