Guy at the Tulsa weigh station asked why I ship cars with a broker instead of direct, and his answer stuck with me
He said brokers just mark up a carrier's rate by $150 to $300 and the carrier still does the hauling, so I called a carrier direct on my next move from Dallas to Phoenix and saved $220 with the same truck.
