Appreciation post: the dispatcher in Amarillo who saved my move
I had my car shipped from Phoenix to Nashville back in March and the first driver showed up two days late with no call. The dispatcher at the broker, a guy named Ray out of Amarillo, actually stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes at 7pm to track down a new carrier. He said "I'm not hanging up till your car's on a truck," and he meant it, found me a driver picking up the next morning. My old Accord arrived with 1,100 miles on the odometer and not one scratch. I still think about how he could have just said sorry and moved on, but he didn't. Has anyone else had a dispatcher go that far for them, or was I just lucky?
