Shoutout to the guy who told me to pack my sleeping bag liner inside my pillowcase

Honestly, I always struggled with my liner getting tangled at the bottom of my pack. Tried it on a trip to the Sawtooths last month and it saved so much space and kept everything together. Anyone else have a weird little packing trick that actually works?

Has anyone actually managed to get one of those pillow folding tricks to work more than once without wrecking the pillow? I feel you on this, Betty. I tried that whole "burrito roll" method and it was a disaster. The lump just shifted somewhere else, and I ended up poking at it for half the night. It's like the pillow has a personal vendetta against sleeping comfortably. Sometimes I wonder if these hacks are just made up by people who never actually sleep on a pillow. Solidarity from someone who's also been fighting the lumpy pillow war and losing.

Right? It's like trying to fluff a bag of rocks. I tried that folding method they show in the videos, and it just left a weird hard ridge right under my neck. Ended up punching the thing for five minutes to get it flat again. Total waste of time.
