PSA: That bargain camp stove let me down big time.

Tried to cook dinner in the rain. Flame kept going out. Back to trusted brands for me.

Been there, done that. My old budget stove was useless in a light breeze, let alone rain. Saving a few bucks just isn't worth a cold, hungry night out. You learn fast that reliable gear is the whole point of going with trusted names. It's a safety thing, not just a brand loyalty thing. What was the brand that failed on you?

Yeah, that "safety thing" part is so true. A stove failing in bad weather isn't just annoying, it can really mess up your trip. Makes you realize why people pay more for stuff that just works.

Totally agree. Cheap stoves and wet weather DO NOT mix.
