My old canvas tent from 3 years ago finally gave up on me during a storm in the Smokies

The wind ripped a huge hole in the side, and I spent the night in my car. What's a good tough tent that can handle real weather?

Heard a story from my buddy Mike last year, @lindagreen - his tent straight up collapsed on him during a windy night in the Rockies. He ended up sleeping under a tarp he had in his truck. I'd look at something like a Mountain Hardwear or a Big Agnes, those tend to hold up better in real storms.

Went on strike" feels like a strong way to put it. It's a tent. It just fell down. Calling it a strike gives it more credit than it deserves. It's not organized labor, it's bad poles.
