Guy at a campsite in Boone told me my $200 sleeping pad was 'backwards' and I still think about it
He pointed at the baffles on my pad and said the wider end goes at your shoulders, not your feet, which I had never once considered after two years of use. Has anyone else been told their pad orientation was wrong, and did flipping it actually change anything for you?
Wait, the wide part goes at your shoulders? I've been using mine with the wide end at my feet for like three years now and never questioned it. My shoulders always slide off the side too so maybe that guy in Boone was onto something. Gonna go flip mine right now and see if I sleep any better.
