Bought a $60 'waterproof' tent that leaked on my first night in the Smokies
Had to sleep in the car at 2am after my tent became a wading pool during a light drizzle, has anyone else fallen for the flashy Amazon descriptions over third party reviews?

Honestly that exact thing happened to me with a "4 season" tent that barely survived a mild summer breeze. The Amazon descriptions are basically creative writing, they know people skim the bullet points and ignore the one star reviews that mention seam seal failures. Ngl I've learned the hard way that if the brand name sounds made up and the price seems too good, it's probably a gamble on whether you'll stay dry.

Wait, that brand name trick is how I got burned on a "GoHikingPro" tent last year @karenlee?
