Just realized the foam in old light seals breaks down way faster than I thought
Was digging through a box of dead point and shoots from my dad's garage in Fresno and found a Canonet where the seal foam had turned into straight tar. A guy at the counter of a shop on Olive Ave mentioned that the stuff they used in the 70s can go sticky in under 5 years in a hot car. Anyone here using felt instead of foam on the really old rangefinders?
