I stopped cleaning sensor glass with iso after a 200 dollar mistake

For years I used isopropyl alcohol on a sensor swab, thought it was the standard. Last month a customer brought in a Sony with streaks that looked like oil, turns out their coating got stripped by my method. I switched to a dry brush first, then a sensor-specific fluid, and the difference was night and day. Anyone else had coatings fail from alcohol, or am I the only one who learned this the hard way?

Dry brush first is the only way, learned that after ruining a lens myself.
