Hit 500 shutters serviced, the number shocked me

I keep a simple tally sheet in my workshop, just hash marks for every shutter I clean and adjust. Last Friday I counted them up while waiting for some adhesive to dry and realized I hit 500. That felt like a lot for someone who only does this part time out of his garage. The weird part is I don't remember doing that many. It kind of snuck up on me over about 6 years. Most were old analog SLRs, but maybe 80 were medium format folders. I started wondering if other folks here keep count of anything, like lenses regreased or bodies re-skinned. Does anyone else track numbers like that, or do you just let the work pile up until the bench is full?

Honestly, 500 shutters sounds like a solid way to accidentally build a museum of other people's forgotten hobbies. Tbh, I can't even keep track of how many times I've reset my own camera's date stamp, let alone that many repairs. Ngl, your tally sheet is giving me anxiety just thinking about how neat it must look, mine would just be a pile of screws and regret. Probably best you didn't count the hours, that number would hurt way more than the shutters.
