Finally got that stuck shutter on a Pentax 67 working after a week of trying
Honestly, it was a real pain. The second curtain was hanging up on this tiny, bent lever inside the mirror box. I had to take the whole front standard off and use a 0.9mm hex key to tweak it back into shape, holding my breath the whole time. Has anyone else had to deal with that specific lever on the 67? I'm curious if it's a common weak spot.

Tbh, that whole lever setup feels like a design afterthought. Wonder if the metal gets work-hardened from the mirror slap over the years. Seen a few where someone tried to fix it with a dab of grease, which just makes it worse when it attracts dust. You got lucky with just a bend.

Yeah, it's that same quick fix mindset. People see a small problem and reach for the easiest solution without thinking it through, like that grease trick. Ends up causing a bigger mess down the line.

Not gonna lie, I used to be one of those people reaching for the grease until I saw how it wrecked a friend's setup. Your post here definitely opened my eyes to how much worse those quick fixes can make things.
