Warning: 4 hours on one Velcro strap behind my TV, am I the only one who thinks ties beat straps?
Spent 4 hours Saturday routing 9 cables behind my TV in Denver, and it came down to one strap versus a bag of zip ties. Do you trust reusable ties or is hook and loop the real answer for a setup you'll never touch again?
Four hours on one strap is wild, I wouldve just cut the thing and moved on after twenty minutes. Zip ties are cheap and they hold forever, which is all that matters for cables you never plan to touch again. Hook and loop is nice if you're swapping stuff out all the time, but for a one and done job it's overkill.
