Vent: velcro straps are worse than zip ties and I'm tired of pretending they aren't
I've rewrapped the same 14 cables behind my desk in Austin 5 times this year because velcro keeps losing its grip in the heat, while a 99 cent pack of zip ties held solid for 3 years straight. Everyone here acts like cutting a tie is some huge deal, but I keep flush cutters right in the drawer. Anyone actually had a cable get damaged by a zip tie, or is that just fear talking?
