Velcro straps vs zipties for permanent setups
I used zipties for years behind my TV stand but switched to velcro straps after I had to cut off a dozen zipties to swap out a receiver. Now I prefer velcro for any setup I might change later. Anyone else found one method clearly better for long term use?

Velcro all the way. Easier to redo later.

Oh COME ON, I gotta push back on this! @eva243 I've had velcro straps just lose grip over time, especially in warmer rooms where the adhesive gets iffy. Zipties are CHEAP and once they're cinched down, they stay put forever without sagging or letting cables wiggle loose. I've got a server rack in my basement that I ziptied five years ago and not a single cable has moved an inch, even with the heat from all the gear. Velcro straps always seem to collect dust and lint and eventually just fail to hold anything tight when you add another cable later. Plus if you need to cut a ziptie, it's like two seconds with some snips, not a huge deal unless you're changing stuff every week. For a TRUE permanent setup where nothing gets touched for years, zipties win hands down.
