Tripped over my power strip and the whole cable mess came crashing down
Was rearranging my desk last night around 11pm and my foot caught the surge protector under the table... pulled the whole tangle of cables off the back of the desk. Monitors wobbled, router hit the floor, phone charger ripped out. Had like 14 cables zip-tied together in one big clump and they all just went everywhere. Took me an hour to untangle and re-run everything with those sticky cable clips from Target. Anyone else ever have a zip-tie jungle go sideways on them?

Truly went all domino effect style on you, huh? Those zip-tie empires always look great until one little trip sends everything into chaos. I swear cable management is just organized denial that we'll ever need to move the desk again. At least you found out now (at 11pm, perfect timing) instead of in the middle of a work call with your boss watching. Hope those Target clips hold up better than the zip-tie mafia did.

And yeah @hannah_price79, you're right about the zip-tie mafia thing but actually those sticky clips from Target aren't much better. I used the same ones last year and they let go after a month when the weather got humid. The trick is wiping the desk edge with rubbing alcohol first before sticking them on, gives them a real chance to bond. I ended up swapping to those little adhesive cable tie mounts with the screw holes for anything permanent, just drilled them into the underside of the desk.
