Spent $40 on those velcro cable ties and wish I hadn't
I bought a pack of 100 reusable velcro ties off Amazon thinking they'd be the end of my cable mess behind my desk. Turns out they lose grip after a few times undoing them and now I'm back to using twist ties from bread bags. Anyone else find a brand that actually holds up longer than 2 months?

Man those wide velcro straps are always a letdown after a few redoes. I started using the smaller thin ones that come in a roll and you cut to size, they hold way better since the hook side is more aggressive and you can trim them to fit tight. Also found that keeping them slightly looser than you think seems to help the grip last longer cause you're not stretching the velcro out each time. The cheap nylon cable ties with the little teeth are actually my go-to now, you can get a big bag for like $8 and they hold up way better for stuff you unplug a lot.

Aren't the thin ones way too flimsy for anything bigger than a phone charger though?
