Rant: the guy at Micro Center in Denver saved my whole setup and I almost ignored him
I was about to just zip tie everything behind my desk last week when this older guy at the Micro Center on Evans Ave watched me grab a pack of thin ties and said 'those will pinch your Cat6 and you will chase packet loss for a week.' I blew him off at first but he pulled out a roll of velcro strap from his pocket and showed me how he bundles runs every 6 inches with a little slack, and honestly it fixed the flaky ethernet drop I had been blaming on my router. Now I keep a bag of 8 inch velcro straps in my drawer. Has anyone else had a random store employee give you a tip that turned out way better than what you came in for?
