Question about those velcro strap rolls I always ignored
For years I used zip ties on every cable run behind my desk. I figured velcro was for people who didn't care about a clean look. Then I had to swap out my monitor setup last month and spent 45 minutes clipping 30 zip ties. I picked up a roll of velcro straps for 8 bucks at Home Depot. After using them on the same cables I was honestly annoyed at myself. They hold just as tight and take 2 seconds to undo. Has anyone else made the switch and not looked back?

Yeah the 45 minutes was brutal man, I was sweating and cussing by the end of it. @the_morgan it sounds dramatic but I swear I had like 4 bundles of cables behind my desk and every single tie had to be clipped one by one. I actually cut myself once with the flush cutters when a piece flew up. Now I just keep a roll of the velcro in my desk drawer and it takes maybe 2 minutes to redo a whole run. I still use zip ties for permanent stuff inside walls or in the attic, but for anything I might touch again velcro is the way to go.
