I zip tied my router to the wall instead of buying a rack and my wifi dropped 2 bars
Tbh I was tired of the router sitting on the floor with 4 cables wrapped around it like spaghetti, so I had two choices: spend $60 on a wall mount rack or just zip tie the thing to a slat in my closet. I picked the zip ties, cost me about $3 at the hardware store, and had it up in 10 minutes. Ngl it looked clean and all my cords ran straight down a single channel to the surge strip. But now my wifi drops 2 bars in the bedroom because the wall is eating the signal. Anyone else deal with losing range after mounting a router higher up, or did you just run a longer cord back to the floor?
