Found a rat's nest behind my desk after 4 years, turns out zip ties were the enemy

I was swapping out a dead power strip last weekend and pulled the whole desk out. Every bundle I'd made with zip ties was so tight the cables had bent and cracked near the connectors. I switched to velcro wraps and left slack loops, and now the whole thing breathes. Anyone else deal with cable fatigue from over-tightening?
