Found a cheap cord cover hack using baseboard corner trim at Home Depot

My desk setup looked like spaghetti until I realized baseboard corner trim (the L-shaped stuff from the molding aisle) works perfectly as a cable raceway. I spent $6 on a 10-foot piece instead of $30 for a branded kit, and it blends right into the wall near my baseboard. The only catch is cutting the corners cleanly with a miter saw, not scissors like the fancy kits. Has anyone else tried repurposing trim pieces for cable management?

Oh, "the only catch is cutting the corners cleanly" - that's like saying the only catch with assembling IKEA furniture is not losing your mind. I tried this hack last summer and my cuts looked like a toddler with a butter knife went to town on them... ended up using some cheap corner pieces to hide the rough edges anyway. So now I got the trim AND the corners, and my wallet still came out ahead.

My buddy tried this and ended up with a pile of splintered trim and a bruised ego too, @harris.vera.
