Figured out why my cable box never stayed closed, it was 18 months of doing it backwards

I spent a year and a half cramming all the power bricks into my Ikea cable box and wondering why the lid kept popping off. Last week I finally laid the bricks flat in a single row along the bottom instead of stacking them, and the lid just snapped shut like it was made for it. Took me long enough, but has anyone else had a cable thing they did the hard way for way too long before it clicked?
