Am I the only one who found a mystery outlet plate behind the TV stand?

Pulled the stand out to redo the cables and found a blank wall plate that was just a hole with three coax ends and a power brick shoved inside. Two hours and a $6 plate later, the TV corner finally makes sense. What do you all do with old coax runs you'll never use again, cap them or rip them out?
