Warning: coiled cable in the box beats a fresh pull every single time
Last week I had a 3 hour job in Mesa turn into 5 because I kept pulling new coax off the spool instead of reusing the good coil I cut off the old run. The landlord said the box was only 40 feet from the tap, so I figured a straight pull would be faster, but the spool kept binding and I kinked two ends. Coiling the slack first and running it from the box saved me about 25 minutes on the second unit. Does anyone else pre-coil before a short run, or am I just slow at the spool?
