The day I realized I'd been stripping coax with my teeth for 8 months
I was showing a new guy how quick I could prep an end and my foreman walked by and goes "you know they make tools for that right" and I just stood there holding the chewed up jacket in my hand feeling like an absolute idiot, has anyone else ever skipped the basics like that?

That's rough man, I've seen so many guys do the same thing. It's like people think every problem needs a complex solution when sometimes the simple tool right in front of you saves hours of frustration. Like how my buddy spent years trimming his hedges with a pair of scissors before realizing a power trimmer costs like 30 bucks. There's probably a whole list of stuff we all do the hard way just cause nobody ever pointed out the shortcut.
