Spent $400 on a tone generator and probe kit, saved me 6 hours on one job

Cheap toner kept missing a break behind a brick wall in an old house. Dropped cash on the better kit, found the line in 20 minutes. Worth it or a one-time win? Has anyone else had a tool that paid for itself on the first call?
