Showerthought: Coax staples vs cable clips on a 3 story brick house in Albany
Did a 3 story brick house in Albany last Friday and the homeowner wanted the lines run clean instead of just drilling through the siding. I had my hammer stapler and a box of P clips on the truck and had to pick one for the whole run. Went with the clips and a 1/4 inch bit because the mortar joints were too crumbly to hold staples and the owner said "if one more hole shows I'm calling your boss." Took me an extra 2 hours and I smoked through 60 clips, but the run looks straight and nothing pulled loose on the ladder test. Anyone got a clip brand that doesn't snap in cold weather, since half of mine cracked at 30 degrees?
