Shoutout to the cheap toner that actually works in a pinch
Honestly, I've been burned by those no-name toners from Harbor Freight before, so I rolled my eyes when my coworker in Phoenix swore by the $8 bottle. Last Tuesday I had a dead line on a condo run and zero time to drive back for the good stuff, so I grabbed his off-brand toner. Ngl, it traced through 220 feet of buried cable without a hiccup, even with some old splices in the way. I still prefer my Fluke for hard jobs, but that cheap one saved me a callback and a pissed-off customer. Has anyone else found a budget tool that surprised them on a tight deadline?
