Ran 2,000 feet of coax in a mansion last Tuesday and it was my smoothest day all year
I had this huge house out in the suburbs, four stories with a full basement. The homeowner had the whole place pre-wired with conduit and pull strings already in place. I got there at 8am and was done by 2pm, even with a 45 minute lunch break. Every run was labeled and the attic had plywood walkways already laid down. Made me wish every job was that prepared. Any of you guys ever get a house that was just set up perfect from the start?

Is there any chance that house was actually wired by an AV guy and not a sparky? Those conduit lines and labeled runs sound like a custom home theater build, not a standard electrician job.

Prepped jobs like that are rare but man, they remind you how much easier life is when someone actually cares about the next person coming through. It's the same with everything, from wiring to moving furniture, one person's forethought saves the next guy hours of headaches.
