Pulled 400 feet of coax through a ceiling only to realize it was the wrong run
Was in a new build out in Arlington last Tuesday. Ran the line from the basement to the attic, strapped it down clean, took me about 2 hours. Then the lead guy looked at the blueprint and said "you pulled the one for the east side, we need the west side facing the street." Had to cut all the zip ties and do it again. Anyone else ever mix up their drops on a big job like that?

Man, that's brutal. I've definitely been there... pulled a whole server rack's worth of cat6 through a drop ceiling in an office building once, only to realize I was a whole bay off. The worst part was the boss had me leave all the old cable up there anyway just to spite me, I swear. It's that sinking feeling when you're all sweaty and the blueprint matches up like a different planet. Hats off to you for just cutting it all loose and starting over, that takes some serious patience.

I used to be one of those guys who'd blame the blueprints and try to make the cable stretch, thinking I could save time. But after spending a whole Saturday rerunning coax in a crawl space because I refused to admit I misread the wall markings, I get it now. Sometimes the smartest move is just yanking it all out and starting fresh, saves your sanity and the next guy's headache.
