One Tuesday in Boise was the worst day I've had on the job in 8 years
After a ladder slipped on wet grass and I snapped three coax cables in a row, a homeowner told me her dog chewed through the ground line the day before, and I finally saw why checking the whole run before climbing saves so much headache, does anyone else do a quick walk around before starting?

Did your buddy also find out the hard way that people leave sprinklers running on a timer? My neighbor spent an hour on a roof before realizing the ground wire was sitting in a puddle.

Watched a buddy of mine tear his hair out for two hours troubleshooting a faulty thermostat. He kept checking the wiring inside the house, never thought to look outside at the sprinkler system. It was just soaking the ground wire by the AC unit every night at 2 AM. Changed my whole view on those timer setups. Now I tell everyone to check the whole yard first before blaming the equipment.
