Just realized my coax compression tool was way off after 1500 fittings
Found out my cheap Klein tool was under-crimping by 0.5mm after I noticed three signal loss complaints in a row on new builds. Anyone else check their tool's calibration with a gauge every few months?

Did you test the first 1499, or just go by feel?

Yeah that hits close to home. I had a similar wakeup call with my Klein after about 800 fittings when a buddy @stellam89 mentioned his was off by a full millimeter. I just went by feel too until that conversation. Now I check it every few months with a gauge, saved me a lot of callbacks.
