How my son's Lego build inspired a cable routing idea
My son was making a Lego tower with a spiral staircase. It made me think about coiling cables in a similar way for neat storage. I tried it when packing up after an install, and it worked really well. Do you guys ever get tips from your kids or family?

Your post reminds me how often simple play leads to smart fixes. My niece once sorted puzzle pieces by color, and I used that method to organize screws in my workshop. Why do we overlook these obvious ideas until a child shows us? It's like they see solutions without all the adult clutter.

Totally get this! I sorted my junk drawer by size after watching my nephew line up his toy cars. It's wild how we overcomplicate stuff. I used to waste time digging for the right battery, now they're all in little bins from the dollar store. Kids just cut to the chase because they don't know the "right" way to do things yet.

Sometimes that kid logic misses important details though. Their simple fix might not think about safety or how things work long term. Adults add clutter because we've seen what can go wrong.
