Hit 2000 feet of coax in a single residential job yesterday

Thats what it took to wire a new subdivision house. Bet the homeowner never realizes how much cable we run just to get one box working. Anyone else hit crazy lengths on a normal house?

I mean, I used to think running 200 feet was a lot, but hearing about 2000 feet for one job totally changed my mind. That's wild that a single house needs that much cable.

Buddy of mine runs a low voltage business and he showed me a picture of a spool that was basically empty after one house. Said the builder had the network closet in the absolute worst spot possible and they had to snake cable all over the place to reach every room.
