Finally stopped buying those cheap coax strippers from the truck stop

I burned through three pairs in a month, each one mangling the braid or nicking the center conductor, which cost me about $45 total in replacements and wasted fittings. The last one slipped and cut my thumb, costing me a half-day's work. What's a decent, sub-$30 stripper that actually holds an edge?

Those cheap ones are basically disposable, so stepping up to a real tool is the only fix.

Exactly, you get what you pay for in the end. I learned that the hard way with a bargain bin screwdriver set that stripped every head it touched. The handle cracked after two uses. Now I have a basic but solid set that's lasted years, and the difference in how it feels in your hand is night and day. It's frustrating at first, but buying something decent just saves money and hassle over time.

Ever try sharpening the blades on those cheap ones or is the metal just too soft to hold an edge? I've had some luck with a fine file on a few junk tools, but it never lasts.
