I grabbed a cheap tone and probe set from a supply house in Mesa last week because my good one was in the truck and I was rushing. It worked fine on the first two runs, then on the third job the tone just quit, so I spent 40 minutes chasing a dead line in a hot attic. Ended up pulling the whole run again and the customer saw me do it twice. If you're thinking about a $65 toner to save cash, just get the $120 one, or keep your backup charged.
