Been doing this 15 years and the biggest change I've seen is in the connectors
Back in 2009 I was still crimping RG6 with those old compression fittings that would fail after a year in the sun. Now we're using those F-type compression connectors that hold up way better, especially in the heat down here in Phoenix. What's the one tool or part that's changed the most since you started?

Ain't that the truth? The cheap fittings are junk now.

Yeah, they figure out exactly how much cheap they can get away with before the thing falls apart in your hand. Plastic that snaps if you look at it wrong, threads that strip before you even get the nut on. Guess we're paying for the privilege of doing the same job twice now.
