A homeowner in Tempe told me my cable runs looked like a spiderweb
He pointed at a bundle of coax and Cat6 I'd just run through his attic and said, 'You know, that's going to be a nightmare for the next guy.' I used to just focus on getting signal and getting out. Now, I spend an extra 15 minutes per job with Velcro ties and a label maker. My service callbacks dropped by half. How do you guys keep things tidy in a tight crawl space?

Man, that extra fifteen minutes saves hours of headache later.

Gotta disagree with you @wright.eva. Those extra fifteen minutes just turn into a slow death by a thousand tiny cuts. It's like spending forever trying to get a spreadsheet perfect, only to find the basic formula was wrong. Or over-editing an email until it sounds weird and you have to start over. Sometimes you just need to send the thing and move on.

Isn't it funny how this whole argument really boils down to that fine line between being careful and just spinning your wheels? I see this all the time with people I know, they get stuck trying to perfect something small while the big picture falls apart. There's a rhythm to knowing when to stop and just trust the work you've already done. That extra time only pays off if you're actually fixing real problems, not just moving things around because you're nervous. What makes you decide you've done enough thinking and it's time to just send it?
