Switched from pocket screws to domino joiners last spring and I'm never going back

I used to do all my face frames with pocket screws because that's how my old boss taught me back in 2012. It worked fine but I hated dealing with filling those holes and trying to get the alignment perfect every time. Then I picked up a used Domino DF500 from a guy retiring in Austin last April for $350. Took me about 3 test pieces to get the settings dialed in but now I can assemble a full kitchen cabinet box in half the time. No more putty cleanup or mismatched grain patterns on the face frames. Has anyone else made the jump from one method to another and regretted not doing it sooner?

What kind of projects do you think the domino really shines on besides face frames? I've been using mine for cabinet carcases and it's a total game changer over biscuits too.

@jordan184 is lucky to have found a Domino at that price, I'm still kicking myself for passing on a used one last fall. Since you've used both methods now, do you find the domino joints hold up any better over time compared to pocket screws? I've had some pocket screw joints get loose on me after a few years in high humidity.

Yeah man, that $350 is a steal... I've been slowly replacing all my biscuit joiners with dominos and the accuracy is night and day.
