Rant: biscuit joints don't belong in every face frame, and my test panel proved it
Everyone at the shop swears by biscuits for face frames, so I built two matching maple frames and the biscuit one shifted a good 1/16 inch after glue up while the doweled one stayed dead flat. I know that's small, but on a 42 inch pantry door it shows at the reveal, and now I'm second guessing all the "just biscuit it" advice I got. Anyone got a reason biscuits would pull that bad, or did I just get a bad batch of biscuits?
