Last week's hinge order nearly wrecked a client's timeline

I ordered 40 soft-close hinges from a new supplier last Tuesday, they showed up Friday with the wrong cup depth, 13mm instead of 15mm. My install was supposed to start Monday in Arlington and I had to drive an hour to a salvage place to find enough matching ones. Has anyone else had a supplier swap specs on a reorder without flagging it?

Classic move. I did the same thing last spring with drawer slides, ordered 22 inch, got 20 inch, and only figured it out when the drawer front refused to close. Had to cut two hours out of a Saturday to re-drill everything. My own fault for not double checking the box, but man, it feels like getting pranked by a warehouse worker who thinks matching part numbers is optional.
