Hand-cut dovetails with a cheap chisel set, flaws and all

Grabbed a $25 chisel pack from the big box store and cut dovetails for a drawer. Took me 4 hours and they look rough up close, but the joints fit tighter than my old power router jig. Anyone else ditch the fancy tools and just lean on sharpening?
