Fitting a farmhouse sink into an existing 36 inch cabinet took me 11 hours over 2 days
Client in Boise wanted a farmhouse sink in her kitchen last week, but the base cabinet was set up for a standard drop in. I figured it would be a quick cut and slide job, maybe 2 hours tops. It turned out the sink apron was 1/4 inch wider than the opening and the rails needed a whole new support frame built from scratch. I went through 3 test fits with shims and a dead blow mallet before it dropped in clean. Anyone else run into apron sinks that measure different from the spec sheet, or did I just get a bad one?
