DAE remember when the old guy at the lumber yard in Tulsa told me to stop jointing my stiles and just use the table saw?
He saw me fighting a twisted poplar board in 2019 and said the jointer was making my stock worse by following the twist, so I switched to ripping on the table saw with a good blade and a featherboard. Six years and maybe 400 doors later, my frames sit flatter than they ever did off the jointer, except on real gnarly walnut. So what's your go to for getting stiles straight, jointer, table saw, or something else entirely?
