Why I gave up on detailed recipe pages in my bujo
I see many bullet journal users create elaborate spreads for their meals and cooking ideas. I spent weeks drawing out fancy recipe sections, but it just wasted my time. It did not help me eat better or save money like everyone says. Now I just write plain lists for what to buy and make. This simple way keeps me on track without the extra work.

When did bullet journaling turn into an art project instead of a planning tool? I get the appeal, but if it takes longer to draw the spread than to cook the meal, something's off. My recipe pages are just scribbled notes on scrap paper. They get the job done without the fuss. Honestly, the fancy stuff seems like a way to avoid actually cooking.

Did you also notice that fancy spreads just became another chore? I switched to a basic notebook for grocery lists and it cut my planning time in half.

But what if some folks actually like making those spreads, @the_thomas? For them, the decorating part is the fun creative break, not the chore. It really just comes down to whether the system feels easy or like extra work.
