Why does nobody talk about using a cheap pencil board for ghosting?
I was getting so mad at seeing my writing show through on the next page, especially with my favorite gel pens. My cousin in Chicago told me to just slide a piece of black cardstock behind the page I'm working on. I tried it with a $2 sheet from the craft store, and now my spreads look clean with zero bleed. What other cheap fixes have you guys found for common journal problems?

My local dollar store sells these thin plastic cutting mats that work even better than cardstock. They're basically indestructible and wipe clean if you get ink on them.

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I tried to use a leftover vinyl floor tile as a cutting board for crafts... it was a total mess. The exacto knife just skidded off and I nearly took my thumb off. Ended up with a weird, waxy curl of plastic stuck to the blade forever. Those thin mats sound way smarter.
