Why does nobody talk about how monthly logs just turn into a mess of half-filled dates?

I finally switched to weekly spreads after 8 months of trying to force monthly logs to work, realizing I was just wasting time rewriting tasks instead of actually tracking them, and now my journal actually feels useful instead of like a chore.
