Two months with a dotted grid instead of lined pages
Switched to a dotted journal back in March after using lined ones for years. My habit tracker and budget spreads actually line up now without me having to sketch in extra lines myself. Has anyone else found a layout that finally clicked after changing paper types?

Wait, is it really that much better for layouts though? I mean dotted grids are okay for some stuff but I genuinely don't get the hype for habit trackers specifically. When I tried dotted pages my boxes always ended up looking wonky because the dots are too small to follow cleanly without drawing lines anyway. Lined paper just gives me that solid baseline for my handwriting to sit on and for trackers I can eyeball it good enough. Maybe it's just me but I always felt like dots make me overthink spacing and alignment way more than lined ever did. I keep my budget in a separate spreadsheet anyway so paper layouts never mattered that much to me personally.

Wait, have you tried a dotted grid that's a bit bolder or bigger? I used to have the same issue with dots being too faint and losing my place, but switching to a 5mm dot grid with a slightly darker print made a world of difference for me.
